Common Questions
ERP™ is our patent-pending two-material frame architecture. A rigid polycarbonate shell is designed to redirect impact energy around the orbital region, while flexible TPU energy-control zones help absorb and dissipate impact energy.
The result is protection engineered into the frame rather than a lens in front of your eyes. No lens means nothing to fog, glare, or distort your view — and nothing between your eyes and the game.
No. ProX1™ is not certified to ANSI Z87.1 or ASTM F803 standards.
ProX1™ takes a different approach to eye protection. Instead of relying on a protective lens, its patent-pending Energy Redirecting Perimeter™ (ERP™) uses a rigid polycarbonate structure and flexible TPU energy-control zones designed to redirect, absorb, and dissipate impact energy.
ProX1™ is performance-driven eye protection designed specifically for pickleball. No protective eyewear can prevent every impact or injury.
At first, you may notice the frame in your peripheral vision — that’s normal, your brain is paying attention to something new. But it doesn’t need to disappear from your field of view. It disappears from your attention.
Same reason you stop noticing your own eyeglasses’ rims, or even your nose, which is always in view. Your brain learns to tune out visual information that’s constant and unimportant — it’s called perceptual habituation, basic neuroscience.
Adaptation time varies — some players adjust almost immediately, others need a few sessions. You can always find the frame if you go looking for it. But once you stop looking, your brain focuses on what matters — the ball, the court, the point.
Yes — for the nose bridge. Most players wear ProX1™ as-is without any adjustment. But if you have a narrow nose bridge, or these are for a younger or smaller player, each ProX1™ ships with 3 complimentary sets of identical adhesive nose pads. Peel and stick them to the frame where needed, play, and replace as they wear.
The bows and frames cannot be permanently reshaped. Injection molded at 300 degrees, the polycarbonate will flex but won’t hold an adjusted bend — it will return to its original shape.
No — ProX1™ isn’t designed to fit securely over prescription frames, and the stacked fit would compromise both the vision clarity and the protection you need on court.
Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh solvents or abrasive cleaners. Store in your zipper case when not in use.
